TGIF!! :D Had an enjoyable friday because my cravings were satisfied. Blackball and Bangkok Jam Phad Thai in my stomach makes me a happy girl :)) Let me backtrack a little. After hunting for our text types, QX and I met Gion for steamboat at Bugis. Even though I wasn't in production, the meetup was intended to celebrate their post-production. Yayyy!! It's 1:45am now. OMGG! Time to sleep. I hope this weekend will be a productive one!

I'm a sleepyhead now because I had lessons from 930am to 730pm today :x This sem's timetable is really bad because my monday,tuesday and wednesday ends at 530pm, 630pm and 730pm respectively. Le sighhhh. I need to sleep now!! Hehe can't wait for steamboat tmr! I'm getting fatter each day. Oh no!! :(

I've been a good girl since school started because I've been catching up with all the readings, tutorials, etc. Last sem, I only started doing the readings before exams hence I have a lot to catch up with during that period. I feel so proud of myself because this weekend I completed 4 chapters of Geog tb, readings for multiracial studies and classroom mgmt. I also had a Grammar revision because I've forgotten most of the Grammar rules learned :0 Poor memory I've got. Last week, I was struggling with the multicultural studies because it's all about Philosophy which I really hated. I could hardly grasp the content but I'm so lucky to have a tutor who "spoon-fed" us by explaining in detail what each paragraph entails. And finally, I could understand what "The Politics of Equal Recognition" is all about. The tutor's explanation made the whole reading seemed so easy and I felt so dumb. I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the readings tough. I feel very motivated this sem because I can't wait to receive the $5000 stipends :D

It's the second week of school but still in holiday mood :( Forced myself to keep up with the readings everyday. And I already have presentations to do on the third week?! Ughhhh. So anyway, I love sundays because it's a chillax day. I'm down with blocked nose and sore throat so didn't feel like going somewhere too far. Hence, we had quick meal at Arbite and off for window shopping at City Hall. Yay I have a new Pandora charm :D After that, I went to support this crazy girl for the DF production. I promised her in March that I'll join the production with her but in the end, I didn't even go for the audition because I knew I'm not able to commit because of the 3h to-and-fro travelling time :/ Sorry dabian, but you really did an awesome job. My days in school have been good because she has never failed to cheer me up when I'm down, is always there to lend me a pair of listening ears and giving me advice whenever I need one. Because of you, I've found a friendship where we can share little secrets and gossips, big advice and huge encouragement comfortably with each other. I'm really really glad I have you by my side on days I feel upset, insecure and mad! :D On a side note, I felt like a primary school student confronted by a teacher today. My friends and I were 5 min late for the lesson because we went to the washroom after we were dismissed from our previous lesson. 5 minutes late and we were told to see him after the lesson?! Ok but he's magnanimous enough because he thanked us for explaining our reasons.

Life's been good because I only have 2 days of school this week :) But, I'm still in holiday mood and thus the lack of motivation to keep up with the pile of readings. Just read the AMX notes and it's driving me crazy because I'm reading about The Politics of Recognition?! Omgg, it seems like alien language to me!! Sigh I hate all the boring and difficult readings that are so difficult to understand. But glad the non-stop eating and chatting session today made me a happy girl! I'm easily satisfied because waffles and pudding are enough to make me happy!

School has officially started on monday and bye bye to my 3.5 mths of holidays. So far, school has been good. I was overjoyed when I met my supervisor in his office and his first sentence to me was "The school is very impressed with you." I didn't have any reaction because I thought he was asking me "Is the school very impressed with you?" He repeated for a second time and I was beaming with joy and exclaimed "Really?!" We had a good 30 minutes chat in his office and he said "I'm definitely sure you have chosen the right profession!" I was smiling because I never knew I had left such a good impression to SJIJ ^^ Nonetheless, I was quite dismayed when I went to the canteen and realised a friend took a storybook (which I borrowed from a friend) from my bag, without my permission :( I would definitely be more than willing to lend you if you send a text to ask me for permission. It's not a big issue but friends who know me well, know I just dislike it. Of course, I didn't make a fuss but I just feel Ughhh! I'm cool now. Yay I'm going to JB again tmr and looking forward to Friday! :D

I went cafe hopping today. Our first stop is Windowsill in the Woods. We had mint and pecan pies and they were gooooood! However, there's nothing much we can do at Lavender so we decided to explore I12 Katong. It's been opened for a year but I haven't been there before #suakumax. I spotted Max Brenner and I rmb a couple of their desserts are highly raved so decided to give it a try! We ordered a banana split waffles to share because Max Brenner isn't very pocket-friendly and I was still quite full from the pies. I loveeee this waffles so much, probably the best I've ever eaten :D Oh la la, it's a Happy 3M!! Sometimes, you make grey skies black but times like this, you painted it pink and I'm just blessed ^^

On 2 August, it marked the last day of my Teaching Assistantship in SJIJ :( I definitely miss this school because of my very kind and encouraging SCM, helpful CTs and the very lovely P2 and P5 classes I was attached to. My CT was very kind to help me arrange the p5 boys for the below class photo. Where do you find such an awesome CT? At the last period on friday, I went to crash my p2 class for a class photo but it was kinda bad because they were full of actions. Hahaha it's hard to expect a formal class photo from a P2 class right? So I think this is good enough ^^ This is my favourite student because he's so cuteeee and chubby! Probably I was partially deaf when my CT introduced the students individually to me on the first day because I only knew this boy was autistic on my last three days. But I love him a lot because of his innocence and naivety. I miss him calling me Mrs Goh (Yes, Mrs Goh. Hahaha), asking me if I'm the principal, Mr Goh's sister, how to spell my name because he wants to use it in his story writing, etc. These 5 weeks in SJIJ made me miss everyone so much that I almost cried when I bade goodbye and passed my appreciation card to one of the CTs and SCM. I held back my tears very badly when they thanked me for all the help during the 5 weeks. I wanted to end the conversation badly because my tears could roll down any moment. I found it most touching when the SCM told us to keep in touch with her and she would be most willing to help us write in if we want to come back to SJIJ when we graduate :') As I found it too hard to say goodbye, I decided to write a farewell note and left the appreciation card on the other CT's desk when she left the staff room to settle some stuffs. I hurriedly left the staff room so that I won't have to meet her to say the last goodbye. See you again, SJIJ, in 2 years time. My experience with you was awesomely amazing! I never regretted choosing this path and I'll do my best to be a good teacher.
