Just reached home. Went to no signboard restaurant for the family gathering cum dinner. I would say the food is so-so but the price is really nice. I doubt i will go back there again because i think other restaurants had better food than them.

1st dish: Lao yu sheng. ( I hate this because no matter which place we eat from, they all just taste the same)
2nd dish : Deep fried scallop (Nice)
3rd dish: Deep fried fish with i dno what sauce. (so-so)
4th dish: Buttery tiger prawn with i dno what. ( It's super nice and the prawn is huge!)
5th dish : Scallops with veges.
6th dish: 4 chilli crabs ( The crabs are the speciality dishes of the restaurant but i dont really like the sauce. But i cant deny that the crabs are really fresh)
7th dish : Lotus leaf rice. ( Super salty!)
8th dish: Yam paste ( Super sweet and dry till i had to dilute and wet it with my tea)

I have comments for all the dishes. LOL. So as you can see, the best comment i had was for the scallops and prawns. All these dishes for a 4 digit $$$ for the 13 of us. With this money, i think we can eat nicer food than these. Woo. We all got a really big angpow from my uncle. ^^

After dinner, we walked to the sky park to have some chatting because it's been one year since we last gather tgt. We had a fun time laughing at my uncle using his iphone to sms. My cousin used 4 sec to type " Father and Mother, I miss you" but my uncle took 23s because he typed by using his finger as a stylus. He said that was his fastest speed alrd.

Had a good time tgt with the Lim-Ng-Goh family. I guess the next time we meet up again will be next yr. I love my LNG FAMILY :)

Just came back from buying my luggage. I hope it's not too small for me. Gng to start studying on waste now. Boring! Anw, gng to No Signboard Restaurant at Vivo tmr for family gathering cum dinner. My uncle chose this place when and he and my aunt are both vegetarian. Will be back to post again later.

9 more days and i will be away for a 19 day "independent trip". Shucks. I am afraid of nothing, but the food. 19 days will pass very quickly one lah. I decided to bring my lappie there even though it may be very heavy. Life's boring w/o a lappie. And i guess the curfew will be pretty early.

Yeah. Finally get to see everyone tgt tmr after one year. The last time everyone get tgt was last yr's CNY. I want to sleep now.

Done with Pumping Systems revision and i shall start with my waste tmr. Thinking of it, it's really sian. But once exams are over, we are freeeee! Who wants to go out on thursday??? I want to buy clothes to fill up my wardrobe. I plan to use maybe the remaining half of my angpow money to buy some clothes and the rest to change them to Dong.

Sat: Maternal side gathering but no idea where we will be gng. My uncle suggested Marina South but weekend cfm pack ttm. After 1 yr, finally get to see my uncle and his big angpow. Greedy* $_$
Sun: Gathering at my ahma's hse for dinner because it will be the last day of CNY.

Shit. so little time to study for Waste. After i buy my luggage tmr, i shall force myself to study at least 4 topics. Yes, i should! Bye...

Halfway through pumping systems revision. Pumping system revision will end on thurs and after that from fri to sun, i will start on Waste. Anyway, i only started revision during the evening because i went out today to search for a luggage with my mum! The luggages my sis use last time are either too big (29'') or too small (22'') so i want to get a just nice one (25''). But no new stock so i shall just wait for them to call me. And i already exchanged some Dong. $1=13000 Dong. Wow. So now, i am currently a millionaire. Haha. I will exchange more next week after the exams. Is $700 enough for 3 weeks??? When we go as a family, we will exchange at least $1k for one week or so but now is 3 weeks. I dont want to end up penniless in Vietnam.

Water supply paper, not too bad. I am glad the calculations wasnt too hard so i am hoping for an A for water supply. Next up, is Pumping systems. I am too lazy to start now so i think i shall start tmr. Bye!!!

i patronised the braised duck stall at the HDB centre (Toa Payoh)today ( 20/2/2010 at 11 am plus) and i was totally disgusted by the poor customer service that was rendered by the 2 staffs to an old lady. I believed that these 2 staffs (1 male, 1 female) are from China and i totally think that they have no respect to elderly at all. Below is what happened.

That old lady was in the wrong queue and the female staff shouted at her " wrong side, wrong side. Queue here! " in a very rude tone. The old lady then asked if the stall has Kway Chap and that staff ignored her question. The old lady then asked her a few times more and she finally shouted " Yes!!" This time round, i was already very angry with her for treating an elderly so rudely. However, what irks me more was when it was the old lady's turn, she shouted " What do u want?!?" I was very angry and decided to tell the female staff " You do not have to shout! Just talk softly." She appeared to be unhappy and mumbled something to the male staff. I believe the male staff was unhappy with me and when i received my plate of ingredients, the gravy was all over the tray. This totally spoil my mood for lunch and i am definitely angry about the way customers were treated by the staffs.

I hope that appropriate training will be offered to the staffs to provide a better customer service in order to prevent such thing from happening again. Besides that, i also hope that appropriate action will be taken against the 2 staffs.

Water supply from 4 to 6:10 tmr. So late! I wish we can all do well for this paper and i think we can because HDJ marking is srsly marvellous. " Error carry forward" like siao. Till then.

Ytd i went to Toa Payoh with my mother because she wants to get her stuffs from Unity. After that, we went to have our lunch at the FC there and i think that the 2 china staffs from the Kway Chap stall were very rude! They totally have no respect to elderly and therefore, i decided to write a complaint letter to Koufu. The last time i wrote a complaint letter was pretty long ago ( about the staff from Cathay). I will post the email i wrote once the Koufu person reply me. They deserved to get a warning letter. Shout at that old lady and mess up my food? See what you will get. I dont like people that show no respect to elderly and act as if they are the big boss. Hahaha. I am a sicko because i am yearning for the reply from them.

A few days ago, i had the craving for shark fin's soup but mum was too lazy to cook the one she bought. Hence, i opened a can of sharkfin's soup only to find that it's totally G.R.O.S.S. The smell of it is .. gulps* Nothing to describe the holiness of the smell. Hence, the whole can ended up in the dustbin. Have a look at this.

In the end, mum had no choice but to defrost the sharkfins and crabmeat and cook it. It's yummy but i forget to take a picture of it. Haha. I know eating sharkfin soup is cruel but i only eat it during CNY and when i go for the annual dinner.

And there's also this box of chocolate that taste .... It wrote Ferrero Garden but i am not sure if it is the same brand as Ferrero Rocher. The taste is also ahem* Why do i have so many weird food at home?



The only thing i eat it is the cashew nuts, almond and preserved guava. Now, i officially hate barbecued pork and all of the CNY goodies. The 3 of us shared 2kg of barbecued pork so it really disgust me the moment i saw it lying in the house. I eat only 3 out of the 20 over pieces and i think it's more than enough for me. Yucks.

Finally started on my revision. Halfway through now. Plan to finish water supply hopefully by tmr then start on the PYP. Anyway, i went out again today with mum and aunt to orchard. Bought clothes again. ^^ My wardrobe running out of clothes so i have to replenish them. I deposited part of my angpow money alrd and i plan to spend the rest on clothes after exams. Today i got $130 from dad's friends, mum's friends, etc. I love CNY because i will have lots of $$$.

Today i went out with my mum and i finally bought my camera and it falls well within my budget. I want a budget camera so i bought the one that operates by AA batteries. So i guess i need to buy alot of batteries to Vietnam. Anyway, happy about my new camera though it's kind of an extra thing. Back for water supply revision. Shit, i had yet to start. I had yet to start on any revision yet. First paper on the 23rd so i dont really feel the stress yet. I shall start later on. I heard from mum that some reporters interviewed my greatgrandmother in China regarding her long-life (102 years old). It was featured on the TV in China. So cool lah.

Since we cant go visiting, we go shoppingggg. We went to MS, Suntec, raffles city and Bugis today. I bought a dark blue polo tee fully sponsored by mum. WHOOOSH :D After shopping, we went to Bugis NLB to get sis's reserved book. After that, we went to Iluma as mum has never went there before. Nth fascinating though. I saw so many clothes i want to buy today. :x Miss Selfridge, R.L, TopShop, Cotton On... I only dare to take a peep at the clothes when i enter because most of the shops we enter are all quite empty with only 1 or 2 customers inside. Damn. I hate empty shops because it spoil my mood for shopping. I am so jealous because mum got a purple note angpow. I collected only 8 angpows this year but i guess the amt shld be satisfying. If it's the normal year, i wld have at least 8 more. So tired now. I'm off to sleep.

A short post before my dad's friends come over.

Yesterday:
In the morning, the first to come to our house to bai nian is my aunt. Eat, talk, laugh... After that, we went to my grandma's house to eat mee sua. Eat, talk, laugh... All of us went to the temple to "bai nian" to ah gong and the white car that my cousin drove was so cool. Left the temple and went home. Uncle came over and my cousins were playing with our boring games ( Who's the richest, Pick up sticks, etc). Then, just now, dad's friends came over without notifying so suddenly, my house became so crowded with close to 15 people. -.- By the time they left, we were too tired to go out already so after dinner, we just went down to the garden to have a short walk and headed home.

Today:
Dad's friends coming over again which i totally dread because alot of his friends are all zhong liang ji. During the late afternoon, i think Darius will come and i may take some photos to post here. After that, we will either go to my aunt's house or ????

Today only dad's friends came over and we stayed at home the whole day because by right, we are not supposed to go to anyone's house as we are still doing 白事. And i did not know until today... So since we cant go to anyone's house, tomorrow we will be going shopping!! I am gng to buy sth which i always feel like buying but because of price constraints, i always have 2nd thoughts about it. But heck , i am gng to get it tmr because i have sponsorship. ^^ Yay.

It's 1:17am now and so, HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY TO ME, MYSELF AND I. Just came back about 2 hrs ago from Grandma's house. Alot of people were there and it was so lively! When we were about to leave, my grandma was a little emo and tell us we must "guai guai" and she say she's dying soon. Haiz. We all got used to her saying this. She's been saying these since eons ago.

Tmr will be gng to Ah ma's house for mee sua then heading to the temple to "bai nian" to ah gong. Then, as usual, alot of people will come to our house and at night, we will head out to "bai nian".

Today, i collected only 2 angpows - 1 for my bday and 1 from my aunt. This year, only my aunt can give from the paternal side. Therefore, i think this year's angpow money wont be more than $300. Sianzzzz.

Went to school at 11:30 for OITP briefing. Mr Foo taught us how to use the software and i think it's really cool. Just a few snaps of pictures and we can make the whole place 3D. It's kind of fun but i did not try because my XP got some problem but i managed to "repair " it myself by using 2 pieces of procedures i got from the Technical Support Centre.

After the briefing, it's when the "heart attack" thing came because it's RWP presentation. We are the 2nd group and i am the first speaker. Sandy told me she keep asking me to slower down but i still talk very fast. I must have been in some unknown state because i only heard her when i was already halfway through the presentation. LOL. But overall, my group did well, which is good! We are really happy.

Went out with mum to City Sq to have our lunch. After that, i bought some clothes from Cotton On and we went for grocery shopping for CNY. Left for sch. Mini quiz(5%) for water supply. I believe that either 1m or 3m, HDJ will still give us correct because he's like this, which we all totally LOVE. Thanks Zhi Jen for the strawberry container with pineapple tarts inside. It's nicer that some of those that we find in shops. Haha.

Thursday:
Stayed at home to pack my room and the dressing table. It's dusty because the dressing table had not been packed since 2009. LOL. And guess what? I realise this is what most family will have when there's more than 2 females in a house.



Tons of things for the face. Estee Lauder, NIVEA, NYSS, Bio Essence etc.. These are only for my mum and I because my sis brought hers to the hostel. And i also realised we have lots of "hair products". We forget that we already have them at home so we just keep buying them. Tsk.

During the evening, i practised the RWP presentation for tmr. Must be slowerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Off to practise abit more. OITP briefing tmr. The camera finally will be of good use tmr. The last time i used it was ?????

I felt so angry after looking at this video about Pastor Rony Tan criticising non-christian religion. I was like WTF-ing all the way and see no where that people shld be laughing and applauding. In Singapore, we shld just RESPECT each other religions as this is very IMPORTANT. Does he even know the history behind Buddhism? He dared to talk about Buddhism as if he himself knows EVERYTHING about Buddhism. He is totally baseless, ignorant and made over-generalized claims about Buddhism. I am definitely not against any religion or whatsoever in this post but just felt that whatever he said was totally nonsense. WTF.

Can u spot the damn stupid mistake i made in the email???

Today's Geomatics test was time challenging?? I did not managed to complete the entire paper because i spend too much time checking in front. I had minused 10 marks so far (1.5/100) so not too scared. Shall see how it goes. Haha. I calculated that we need approximately 7.5% for this paper to achieve an A if we can get 50/60 for the practical. Just hope that Miss Tracy dont mark any of the practical and we will have the chance of getting A.

After test today, i went to Vivo to look at clothes from Pull and Bear and F21. Did not buy anything except lots of snacks from Candy Empire. I spent close to $20 buying rubbish food. Potato chips, Arnotts biscuits and chocolates. I regretted buying chocolates because my sis and i just finished 60 ferrero rochers given by dad's friend and 50% of these chocolates from Italy . Really horrible, oh crap!



Actually some of these chocolates can also be found in Candy Empire, like the Gittos. But 4 sticks of it for $13.80, abit ex.

Tomorrow is Environmental Health and Safety Act now. I forgotten quite a far bit of what i studied alrd. Off to study. Bye!

I went out with mum to Tampines this whole afternoon. And i am finally done with my CNY shopping. Walked arnd so many shops till our legs were really sore so i give up and decided to just go to Topshop and buy whatever that looks presentable for CNY. In the end, i managed to get my stuffs from Topshop ^^ I saw a couple of things i like so i think i shld buy them with 10% of my "scholarship" money. Wahaha.

Back to revise Geomatics again. Bye!! I want to go to F21 and Pull and Bear after my irritating tests. Who wants to come with me???

Went back to the school for a short meeting. Now, I finally know what we are doing in Vietnam. Visiting the community for orphans and street children for CIP and then our “attachment work” is taking photos of Da Nang and make it into those paranormal view ( view it at maps.google.com to see what it is like). Sounds quite fun , yeah? Then on the weekends, we have cultural visits to ??? And the best thing is, the uni hostel we are staying has air-con if not I dont know how I am gng to sleep at night. The sad thing is, we have to reach the airport by 6 or 7 which is so freaking early. Then we need 8 hrs to reach Da Nang ( Sin – Hanoi- Da Nang) because there’s no direct flight to Da Nang.

Back to revise Geomatics now.

Short lesson today. I shall go and practise my script because i havent finish memorising it yet. Hopefully, next friday, i will talk more fluently and SLOWER. Haha. After the lesson, went to touch up abit for the FYP ppt and rehearse with S&N. After that, went to the CCU office regarding the quotations. Then went to Pizza Hut as Mr Daniel Tan wants to give us a treat. The most disgusting thing on earth is to buy Baked Rice and share within a class. I dont mind sharing it with people i am close to, and not ...*gulps* Collected the answer sheet for Geomatics. Thanks ting ting.

Geomatics test on monday. Die. I am so scared. But i accomplised sth today. Completed studying the 34 points i wrote for EHS notes. But by monday, i wld have forgotten 70% of it. Off to do Geomatics. It sucks, especially when we buy the "wonderful" calculator for nothing besides just being a spare calculator. Luckily, its only $15 if not is "xin cui gan" -- JL.

Tmr dont need to see the attituded cum forever late DC. But i've got to go to school at 2pm for the Vietnam trip meeting. Hmm. Kind of interested in the details. Wahaha.

I reached home at 10 today which is super coool. No lesson because there's only a short 5% "oral" test and some practical session whereby we only have to touch the machine according to what's being asked in the procedures. YH and i practically crapped out way through during the technical qns parts because i only study the components of the pilot plant and not the other parts. So we can only crap by remembering what we read from CS's paper. Not bad loh (24/30) for theory and ??? for the practical. It's only 5% so kind of relaxing. Haha.

I just got back from the salon without rebonding but only treatment, because the poster they placed outside was a "scam." It's $158 for rebonding actually. Uh. The < $100 one is using China's products which i rather dont use if not i think it will worsen my hair condition. Asked my mum if i shld rebond but she told me the price is not a lot of difference from Chapter 2 so she think i shld go there if i really want since it's only $40 more. BUT $199 for less than 2 months = definitely not worth it because i want to perm in April so i shall let my "damaged" hair stay.

My sis gng to Seoul in May. So gooood! Within 1 year, she went to 3 countries.

May- Seoul
And she also wants to go to UK to study for 6 months but dad's kind of against it because gng there for 6 months will definitely cost a bomb in the daily expenses there.

For me, it's only Vietnam. =( Booooooo

In the end, I did not attend the PUB career talk with many others. So in the end, i think only 4 out of 21 from 02 went. And our names got recorded for not gng which is kind of -.- Even if we go, we also cant register for the job because we only get to register next year. Whatever. But i hope nth will happen to us.

Anyway, the tentative sentence is _____. But i believe there's appeal. But i am glad that the outcome wasnt as worse as we though. Phew!
