Today finally marks the end of exams and so it means holidays starts today! After structures paper, I met Kat to pay the $$ for our camp and we headed off to meet Yie Ny at Bugis Stn. As usual, that greedy girl with me kept on repeating these 4 words, “ I very hungry leh” So the moment we reached, we went to have our lunch –LJS.
We had such a hard time trying to contact Yie Ny but finally after sometime, she answered and while waiting for her to reach, we went to the temple to pray first.

And, sock reached at the right time and we went to pray together. After praying, we met Yie Ny and at the same time, Lily, Thad and his friend came to meet us. Eat, talk, shop.

Eat again. Yes! We ate at 5 again. And it is at Pastamania because Kat spotted there was a 30% discount for students and we immediately rushed in to order our food. The time was 4:55 and we quickly made our orders. And as usual, the greedy girl( obviously, u know who) was the most kan-cheong one. Hehehe.

I liked the time when we were at BHG the most. We went to the children’s section and took some photos with us posing with kiddy stuffs. So funny because people walking by must have thought we were some crazy bunch of people.

Now, let the pictures do the talking!

Kat! look here... (shot 1)

hehe, today is a special day because it marks the first day i start drinking.I had turned into a bad girl. My family and my cousins went for a family dinner at the Yan Palace restaturant. This is for the 7th month and every year, we will meet at this date for a dinner together with my paternal side families.

My cousins and i were all sick of the "frequent drink" we had there --- 7 UP and orange juice. And so, they suggested Arbor Mist. We were arguing over the flavours we should order and so after everyone's agreement, we decided on Peach Chardonnay and Strawberry White Zinfadel. Both flavours taste great but i preferred the Peach one. It's not really bitter but a little sweet and it's nice. Luckily, the alcohol content is low , only 6% if not i would have turned into a tomato.

The food were great as well because i had my favourite food -- Sharkfin's soup but it taste more like crab meat with bean sprout soup. But, i still like it alot. I have to continue on my theory for Structures now. Let's go drinking with me someday. Haha.

Yeah. 2 days till meeting the girls. Bye

All these are written yesterday but i forget to post it up.

Well, I felt like I had been neglecting my blog and so I shall just update a little now. Yesterday, I had my Engineering Process and CAD modeling test. I don’t think I can score an A because my drawing was not well-done and for my theory, I am unsure of some questions. So, maybe a B only or worst. Nevermind, there’s still next semester for me to work harder.

As for today, I had Geomatics paper. Perhaps a better grade than Engineering Process? Hopefully, I can obtain an “A” for this. But practical has a higher weightage, 70%!!! OMG.

Anyway, just on last Friday, we met our PT outside structures classroom and he told us about the trip to Vietnam for community work. I was quite attracted to this and might sign up for it next year. But results and conduct have to be good and I am unsure if I can qualify for it.

Tomorrow is the CRS paper and I just hope that I have some points to crap my way through. Shit me for not reading newspaper regularly. Heh heh. I would like to see shorty mophead’s 17 hours effort report. I helped him to paraphrase a small portion of it because he is too lazy to do so. And finally, after 4 months, we talked normally for the first time. (No criticism and rebuttals at all). Perhaps he had passed it to zk because that’s what he does every time we talked.

Wish me luck for my remaining papers. CRS essay, Analytical Chemistry and Structures.
Be back on the 26th Aug. Bye!

I miss the other 2 flowers. Hope to see your soon.

{edit}

CRS paper later. OMG.

I still miss 4E1 so much. Still remember those wonderful times we spent studying and playing as a class. There may be times whereby teachers get angry with us because we were still not serious about our work when O’level is just a few months away. Those wonderful times were really so hard to forget. 4E1 will always be the best class and be remembered by me. We shall pay Madam Padma a visit during the Deepavali.

Stucturing just now and I managed to submit before the deadline. First time having only a single conversation and it is with the first flower, QY. We were talking about how much we missed the 3 flowers hanging around together. YES! I have to admit that I miss Adela and Qiao Yu so much. 3 flowers forever! And of course, not forgetting Timpa. Hope to see all of u soon after our exams.

Anyway, i saw something disgusting in my house.Guess what is it?

It is the tiger bone's wine. I asked my mother whether what is written on the bottle is true. And she said yes. Tiger's bone soaked into the wine and is good for the body. But i think it is way too disgusting to drink it.

Getting way too boring already and so i better stop. Good night! Ok wait, Kat is telling me how sad she is now and so i shall get back to her now. BYE!!

Finally after a long wait, I got back my testimonials. Well, all I have to say is “ Thank you ,Mdm Padma for the wonderful testimonials u had written for us.” I was surprised and happy of all those wonderful comments that the Mdm Padma had written for me. Since I am so free now, I shall type out the entire testimonials. Don’t read if u are tired now because u may fall asleep halfway through.

READY.

General Personality Traits

Siew Ling is a diligent student who views her education with serious concern. She gives her full attention during lessons and tutorials and, even during group discussions, she makes it a point to be involved, more out of an eagerness to imbibe as much as she can from the learning and sharing.

THE END.

Anyway, back to posting. Before I went back to the school to collect our testimonial, I met Tiffany at AMK station to have our lunch together. However, both of us felt like eating LJS and so we took a train to J8. After lunch, we walked around while waiting for Adela who ends her class only at 2 plus.

And something saddening and horrible happened! Tiffany told me she saw someone whom she thought was a kid trying to grab hold of the railings but unfortunately still fell down. Then, a yellow shirt mancame running down at fast speed to save the person from the fall, but in the end failed to do so. The person fell down terribly bad and to our horror, the person was an old granny in her 70s.

OMG. When we took the escalator up to see how she was, her forehead was bleeding profusely and she seem to be in extreme pain. All we could do was to tell each other” Better call the ambulance for her”. But the yellow shirt man whom we knew later was her son-in-law already done so. We left that scene and did not continue shopping because our mood was dampened over this incident. We felt sad and painful for the old granny because we can imagine how pain it could be when she fell down right onto her forehead.

Thank god because she did not fall towards the back if not the consequences would be far worse and unimaginable. I was wondering why didn’t the daughter or son-in-law hold her when she was taking the escalator. If they had done so, such things would not have happened to that granny. Let’s hope she is alright now. We both felt so useless when we cant do a single thing when seeing her in such a pain.

And so, it was to Bowen after Adela reached Bishan Station. Bused to Bowen and as usual, talked a lot while on the way to school. Collected testimonials and went home. I am still doing the Structures report now.

Somehow or rather, i missed 4E1 again. It'd been 4 months since school started and i still miss the class so much. It's just too nice a class to be with till i can't forget. Let's all meet up during Deepavali at Mdm Padma's house. I can't wait for it. Bye!

Today, Natalie (Anthony, Natalie, Anthony, Natalie --- so rhyme) brought her miraculous ring to the class. Why miraculous? Because the ring actually can change colour when worn by different person. The different colour depicts the feeling of a person.

The curious me went to put on the ring and the colour changed to something so weird. ( Brown and green, meaning nervous and active.) Half of it is true only. And the owner of the ring whom i shall call her Anthony from now on, is green ( active) and dark blue (romantic. LOL)

Mine (nice colours)

Nat's

Nat's ( wonder why she is feeling romantic)

Wonder how this name Anthony comes about? One fine day, my group was doing the Geomatics Practical and this man, who is in charge of the lab (Anthony) loves to go to group to group to blah here and blah there. And Natalie talked about how her name ( Anthony, Natalie, Natalie, Anthony) seems to rhyme with his name. So, she disliked "Anthony" this name. But, the kind- hearted us ( Sandy and I ) just love this name so much that we decided to call her this now. Something so funny happened. My friend actually asked me if i had found a new bf because my msn states" I love Anthony Ho. Haha" Not so fast la, i'm still thinking of J. Shall stop here before i get sad again.

When u look for me, I get angry.
When u r not around, I miss you.
Just what's wrong with me?

Its nearing your 2nd death anniversary. RIP.
Don't worry, your sons are more matured now.

No mood to continue to post. Bye!

Baking cookies is fun!

Today, was the first time i tried baking cookies. Not as hard as i thought it will be because i bought those ready made ones. I just have to add in vegetable oil, water and egg. I spent about 2 hours baking them and the results were not too bad. Appearance = ugly, Taste = wonderful. It just look so horrible because the dough turned out to be too soft and so it was difficult to fix the shape. The end result looks like hardened "****" to me. hehehehe. But, it really taste nice.

The dough

See, really looks disgusting right?

Hi, 2nd post for the day. I got something to share with all of you. I remembered telling some people that the 7th lunar month is actually not the ghost season but many will ask me “Then what is it?” I will always say “ I can’t remember but I got read from a book before.”

And so, since today is the first day of the 7th lunar month, i went to dig the book out. It is actually a Buddhist book which I got from my primary school last time. My school always like to give out Buddhist-related books since Mee Toh was a Buddhist school. The book had been with me for about 7 years already. The title is “The Buddha speaks on the Ullambana Sutra, The 7th Lunar Month is not the Ghost Season”

A paragraph from the book:
“For thousands of years, many people are deluded and superstitious. Ghosts belong to one of the three negative paths. Their sufferings are acute. Thus, there is no celebration in the ghost realm. Ironically, every 7th lunar month, people arrange special prigrammes and celebrate “Ghost season” on behalf of the ghosts. The 15th of the 7th lunar month is actually meant for all children to practice filial piety for their present parents., parents of the past and future. So, we should not celebrate “Ghosts season”. Instead, we should celebrate “The season of filial piety”

I shall stop elaborating on it now just in case it bores everyone. Think my nose hates me now. I had been sneezing for more than a hundred times since yesterday. So irritating. Bye!

Meet my crazy friend, hairy bobo aka known as botak.. hehehehehe
