I was doing the quiz that Sandy tagged me to do just now but I can’t think of anyone that can do. I will do it when my brain cells are more active.
And so, today is the NUS project C.A.N. 08. Got up real early at 6 so that I wont be late. I was punctual today! Hahaha .Earlier than someone who said that I will be late.=)We set off to Southview Primary at 8 plus and after briefings, speeches, arrival and MP, we finally start doing our work.(Collecting tin cans and dried foods). Oh ya, and I saw Ellis there too. So shocked to be able to meet her there.
I was in the same group as people whom I know ( uncle, irshad and bear bro who left after 2 hrs). At 12, only left with the 3 of us but I think we really did a good job although we got rejected by those residents there once in a while.
I can see that most of the people in Singapore are really very generous. Without hesitation, they just donate whatever they can find in their cabinets. The most expensive stuffs that people donate are Chicken Essence, Scallops’ can and abalone soup.
However, I met many creatures ( **** and _ _ _ _ )which I feared of since I was young. The _ _ _ _ still was not that bad because I only met one which was when everything was about to end. It stayed at the 2nd floor and did not want to move at all and so I climbed to the 3rd floor to take the lift to the 1st floor. I know it’s lame but I will do whatever it takes for me to avoid it. The **** was the worst because many household have them.
Everything ended well at 4 plus and I headed with the 2 of them to CCK to meet Sock. There’s nothing that we can do over there and so we decided to catch a movie at MS because both Sock and I got a free ticket (I got mine from Irshad). Irshad left and the 3 of us went to MS. However, most of the timings were already fully booked and so Sock suggested we go “blow blow wind” at the bridge somewhere near the Fullerton Hotel. A scenic view there with all the LITTLE fireworks, the feeling is just so great! Talked for sometime and it suddenly rained! The rain just spoilt the day. Left with no more plans, we headed home.
Afterall, I felt that the C.A.N. project is very meaningful because the food that we had collected will be distributed to 8 charity organizations for the elderly. At the same time, I felt very tired after climbing at least 1000 plus of steps. Been so long since I ever climbed so many flight of stairs. Applause to everyone who sacrificed their Saturday for this meaningful event!
